We present the exhibition ‘The Players’ by Julião Sarmento, which brings together his most recent work, works on canvas and two sculptures that show the artist’s continuous fascination for the transgression of limits and dichotomies, spirituality and eroticism, sexuality and morality, discourse and dialogue.

 

He has participated in the VII and VIII Documentas of Kassel and in the XXXIX, XLVII and IL Biennials of Venice. His work is part of the most international public and private collections: The Guggenheim Museum, New York; MoMA, New York; Musée Nationale d’Art Moderne Center Georges Pompidou, Paris; Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven; Hara Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo.

 

Among his most recent exhibitions: Echo, Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, Holland, Juliao Sarmento, Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Deurle, Belgium, Julião Sarmento.
